A 29-year-old Indian tourist died in a tragic fall from an 18-story hotel building in Bangkok’s Klong Toey district on October 14. Thong Lo Police Station officials responded to the scene in Soi Sukhumvit 26 around 2:00 AM, where they discovered the body of the man, identified as Mr. Yash, on the fifth-floor landing.
Mr. Yash had checked into the hotel on October 6 with plans to stay until October 15. Authorities reviewed CCTV footage, which showed the man returning alone to his room at 8:00 PM on October 13. The footage revealed no signs of other individuals entering or leaving his room before the incident.
The circumstances surrounding his fall remain under investigation. Police officials have confirmed they are coordinating with the Indian Embassy to notify the man’s relatives and assist with further procedures.
This incident adds to the ongoing safety concerns in Thailand’s hospitality sector, with authorities urging establishments to strengthen preventive measures.
