The talks emphasized a framework introduced by Kishida to explore avenues ensuring Thailand remains a pivotal manufacturing hub for Japanese car manufacturers. The focal point revolved around the production and exportation of next-generation vehicles, especially electric cars.
In response, Srettha affirmed Thailand’s unwavering commitment to supporting the operations of Japanese automotive firms operating within its borders.
At the Japan-ASEAN summit, leaders endorsed a collective vision statement, underlining their dedication to establishing a fresh framework for the Southeast Asian automotive sector.
