This time for our review series of long term stay on Thonglor, we take a look at Oakwood Residence Sukhumvit, situated not far from Sukhumvit 55 and J Avenue shopping Mall. It’s a 67 room residence including studios and up to 3 bedrooms residences across 8 floors. So it’s a cosy friendly residence offering a wide range of services to make you feel at home.
The Lobby is an ideal place to start the day with Breakfast. Oakwood offers different breakfast packages. A single breakfast is 350THB per person but if you’re a long stay for 6000 THB per person will give you breakfast every day or on a ad-hoc basis they have a deal of 2500THB for 10 breakfast-coupons. During the day it’s can be a calm place to relax or watch kids playing in the kids park. There is also a little shop, offering bags from Italy.
Services
The Oakwood Residence Sukhumvit also offers free shuttle services, available from 7am to 10 pm, which can drop you off or pick you up at the BTS station, the hospital or the restaurants and bars in the area. Every bedroom have a washing/drying machine but the residence offer also a laundromat, for days you feel lazy. And cleaning service !
Amenties
On the rooftop you will find a modest swimming pool with a kids pool, surrounded by deckchairs and other places to decompress. The gym offers everything necessary to take care of your health and your body. The swimming pool and gym are open from 7am to 9pm.
One bedroom
First impression is the seize of the room ! It’s easy to invite friends at home, cook something in the full equipped kitchen. And after relax in the bathtub.

The two bedrooms are also spacious, with a convivial bar space which overlooks the dining room. The bedrooms are welcoming, almost encouraging us to throw ourselves into the bed.

Here we have the impression of arriving in a top floor apartment with a very large living room and large windows. The Master room is worthy of its name. There is also a Maids room with its own bathroom and its own access from outside.

The Oakwood Residence Sukhumvit is the ideal place for long-stays, whether you alone or in family. Located in a quiet area despite the proximity of the nightlife, there is Japanese food market next door, and the hospital not far away, the location is very convenient. Thonglor is home to some of Bangkok’s gourmet restaurants and cafes. The residence is under renovation, and promises us a nice surprise next year. We will keep you informed!
